Default 76 Mercury Electical Diagram

I have been searching for information on the electrical diagram on a 1976 85hp Mercury Outboard Motor - ID # 4369664. I find it absurd to spend $85.00 for a repair manual just so I can hook up a couple of wires that corroded off (due to previous owner & salt water) inside the engine cowling and control unit (throttle quadrant). If anyone could be of assisatance I would be very greatful. Jeffplease send .pdf or .bmp (or whatever format you may have) files to:jlance3342@aol.com

Do you expect the manual to self destruct after you have used it once, Jeff?Making you a copy of copyrighted material would be illegal. Asking for it is also illegal. There may be a licensed site that someone can refer you to that allows legal downloading.I suggest that you visit your local library where, oddly enough, you can copy pages legally, but in the long run no responsible wrench works on an outboard without a manual.Good luck.

Don't be such a cheapskate.I bought a Mercury factory manual off e-bay for less than 20 dollars. A little used but all there and worth every penny.
