If it has the same # of teeth on the starter gear, and will mount in a similar fashion as the later starter, it'll work. There are some differences in mounting between older ones and later ones, so make sure it'll physically bolt up.<br /><br />Can't hurt to try!!<br /><br />HTH......ed
