i have a 40 hp mariner that when you go to full throttle it will run for a little while untill it drops speed and rpms down a lot. then when you bring it back to idle it stalls out.please help

Did you check the fuel pump diaphram?

Also check to be sure your tank vent if not clogged.

do u think it could be the oil injection system becuase the plugs keep on getting fouled up with oil. the problem started when i forgot to open the vent on the gas can and i ran it so long that the tank almost imploded. i think it may have been the gaskets on the oil injection but i don't know so any help will be greatful

Check your fuel pump diaphram. The vaccum from running out of fuel may have torn it. Let me know what you find out, I'm having the same problem!
