can anyone tell me how to remove cable end from motor. i have taken the bolt out and tried to pry the end up did not come loose.the cable is a morse cable. it looks like there is plate under the end afeels like it is spring loaded. thank you

On the shift linkage at the engine there is a plate that hold the cable on, take a screwdriver and push up and back to disconnect it
