I have a custom craft walkthrough windshield boat...it has a 50 horsepower mercury outboard.<br />the motor seems to run fine and all... I put the idler down to the back all the way and the forward gear forward all the way. but it will not go faster than just above no wake speed. When I first got the boat it did fine but not it won't throtle up. The reverse went out a yr or so ago and I just got it fixed. the guy put a new cable on and it is ajusted to it's fullest extent. I'm not sure what is the problem if it is me or if it is something wrong with the motor.
