Default 28 mariner ekectric starter

I am looking for a electric starter for a 1979 mariner 28 HP. In checking with iboats I am informed you don't have one. Landen says it's ok to ask you. Where can I find a starter?sandyk

Welcome to iboats.I can't help with a source, but I might be able to expand the possibilities. That must be a Yamaha. You might find one if you have a Yamaha dealer nearby and might have better luck than with a Merc dealer. It's also possible to have them rebuilt. A lot of places that rebuild car starters do those too.

Sorry but already checked auto rebuilder and they can't get parts, and yes was built by Sanchin Industries(yamaha), but they don't have parts either. I'm stuck with finding someone who has a junker for parts unless some one has a source for a new or rebuilt one somewhere.sandyk
