My 1994 Mariner 75 HP is sometimes hard to start and usually cranks over very slow even with a fully charged battery. I think that my timing may be too far advanced. Can somebody tell me haw to check it? Thank you in advance.

If you are going to fool around with the timing, you really need a manual.

Check the brushes in the starter. Had the same problem on a 86 model 90 horse mariner.
