Please help
97/90HP Mariner losing power mid range. Motor surge occurs at about 3000-4000 RPM.
When this happens - open throttle fullout and the motor powers away. Will run nicely from 4000RPM up.
When I throttle back to 3500RPM the motor surges and power drops off. When I open the throttle away we go!
The motor starts okay but idles rough and is rough up through the mid range.
