I'm having problems with hard steering on my 1996 100hp Merc outboard. Ive determined it's the bushes and or pivot pin as we have loosened it a little before with heat and lubrication. There is also a fair amount of play at the bottom bush which concerns me a little.<br />Dealers have quoted (without seeing it) upwards of $1000 to repair and suggested it's not a job that I attempt myself. Is anyone able to assist with necessary pages of a manual so I may view the job required?
