wiring on a 1972 merc 9.8

i recently picked up a 72 merc 9.8. the coating on the wires is deteriorating pretty bad and the wire is exposed on most of the wires. Is there a new wiring harness i can purchase or do i need to just replace the current wires? if a new harness is available, where can i find one. thanks so much for your help

Check out e-bay (bidding site). They have parts for outboards.They have good prices most of the time.<br /> <br /> GOOOD LUCK!!! RCOBB :cool:
