Just got a 14 ft. Lowe jon boat with a small mercury mounted. camo paint cvered entire outside of motor. Only number on block is OG169869. Any ideas about size and year of motor appreciated.
Its a 2 cylinder. Thats my problem, the 9.9 and the 15 are vitually identical. Also I believe now that it is probably a Mariner if that makes any difference. In this state if its a 15 I need a title, if its a 9.9 I don't.
mikemh,Step 1...try to find a number on your carb.Usually on the flange that holds it on the motor,but not always.WMC-47 (A) indicates 9.9.<br />WMC49 (A) indicates 15.<br />Hope this helps.<br />DHP
