I'm installing a hour meter on my 2003 190 fs triton w/a 200 merc(carb) on the back. I planning on running with the ignition switch. As best I can tell the purple wire on terminal "A" is the hot wire when the igntion sw is in the on position. Is this correct?? I'm also assuming that all completely black wires are ground????

Re: mercury outboard Hourmeter

That should be correct. If in doubt check it with a Volt/Ohm meter

-W
