1980 40 h.p. mercury thunderbolt

I changed the selinoid and now the engin turns over but'no fire to the plugs?what should i do next?

You will have to start troubleshooting. Do some reading at the link below for possibilities. Some test require special meters, others are simple resistence test. Others more familiar with the Mercs may have more input. Many times it's the powerpack. Also, if you could give a little more backround on your motor, it would help. Did you just get it? Did this just start happening, Ect. Did it ever run? How did you check for spark? Battery fully charged?<br /><br /> web page

Rick,Thnk's for your time.I'm not too familiar with the motor but" I did have to replace wires <br />on the(THING) on the top front of the motor.They were corroded clear into the urethane casing! I suspect this part is the problem the part#is <br />332-4911 The wires go directly to the coils from this part....What's it called and where can i find one.<br /><br /> THANK'S rbkbndaddy
