I went out on the bay last weekend and the boat was running fine, After getting under way again when I would open up the throttle if would rev up and then fall on its face and only rev to about 3000 rpms. I stopped and squeezed the primer bulb and it would rev up again for a few seconds and then do it again.
The engine revs up good in neutral and will run at wide open throttle in reverse but not over 2500\3000 in forward.
After sitting it will rev all the way up but still has same problem after a few seconds.

We tried hooking up an aux fuel tank but still no go. I checked the fuel pump and it is pumping, Also checked fuel lines for cracks\leaks but everything is fine.

Anybody got any ideas?

If you are able to squeeze the primerbulb and have the engine run normal, you are not developing enough fuel pump pressure to supply the engine with fuel.

TMD
