I have a 1989 45 Horsepower Mariner Outboard motor. Its always ran great, but now when I'm out on the lake for about 5-6 hours it will just die, and I"ll have to pump the bulb for a few minutes to get it going again. Another thing that happens is the bulb never gets hard when you pump it. What do you think the trouble could be? Thanks a lot for your time.

Have you opened the tank vent ? The bulb should get hard initially. Maybe you could try another bulb as it could be faulty.
