I have purchased a 1976 sailboat that has a Mariner 8 HP Sailmate engine. I need to know what model year this engine is so that I may get the proper service manual. The engine is as follows:<br /><br />Mariner Model 8M 677S 020876.<br /><br />If anyone knows the year model of this engine I would appreciate it.<br /><br />Thanks. Steve Morris

1979 it is (falls in the range 677-018181 - 677-026995).
