Help!! I have a 66 merc 950 v6. All of a sudden now I cannot engage the starter in neutral. I have the throttlre in the forward position and that puts a drag on the starter because the prop is moving.<br />Also I have a lot of play in the forward position<br />and do not feel I am getting full throttle when I open it up (as I am just putting along). Finally last week on the lake it would not shift into reverse worth a dang. It would skip the cluth sound before it engaged and would just rev the motor rpms sky high. Some advice would be great here and does anyone know where I can look a wiring diagram for the 950 motor and throttle linkage?
