Rectifier?'s

Would a bad rectifier cause my 86 90hp merc to miss when I throtttle up past 1k rpm's? Mine tests bad and I am wondering if this could be my problem. The stator and trigger assembly ohms out good. Thanks

It could. You can find out by disconnecting the rectifier from everythang and see if it helps the way the engine runs. <br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
