Help... In my excitement to get the boat in the water I accidently hooked up the battery backwards (reverse polarity) on my 1971 Merc 800 (80HP 4 cyl). Now I have no spark!... what do you think I blew out?

Disconnect the rectifier and see if she starts. If so replace. If not replace switchbox (Powerpac) and rectifier.
