I'm considering getting a 5hp for multiple uses, canoe, dory, sailboat. Since it'll be swapped around, weight will be an important factor. I looked at Mercury's 5hp single lunger, and it looked like a good engine until I came accross a review that said Mercury doesn't sell replacement parts to individuals, only service centers. Sounds like a raw deal to me, especially as I'd plan to carry a spare impeller with me.<br /><br />So, any pro's and con's of whats on the market will be appreciated.
