Howdy.<br /><br />I don't think the 85HP was ever made in a short (15") shaft.<br /><br />Measure from the clamp surface that sits on top of the transom to the AV plate, subtract 1". A long shaft is 20", and extra long shaft is 25".<br /><br />Good luck.
