I am replacing the stator and trigger. I have removed the flywheel and marked the position of almost everything. I had to disassemble the flywheel from the flywheel spindle. What is the proper position of the spindle notch (that fits on the crankshaft) to the timing marks on the flywhee. The Mercury # is A952298, the Model is 1050716. The year is 1985. Thanks for any help!!!

I think it only goes one way. If not, you will have to put #1 at top dead center, then align TDC mark to the timing pointer.
