Anyone have any ideas about this one? I have a 2000 50 HP Merc 4-stroke (console steering) that blows its 20 amp fuse on more than half of its cold starts (it blew on both of its cold starts this weekend). Replacing the fuse allows the motor to start and run normally. A warm start is not usually a problem, but if the engine sits for more than a couple of hours, the 20A will blow upon trying to start it. I assume I'm chasing a short or a frayed wire. Any ideas as to where I should start my search? Thanks!
