I took the boat out yesteday for a quick spin..<br /><br />I have a 1982(ish) Mercury 50hp 4 cyl, 2 stroke on a 13' Rib. I filled the tank up with gas / 2 stroke oil. Engine was running fine with no problems as i just had it serviced.<br /><br />But looked at it this morning and noticed a oil patch on the floor. The oil smells of gas / petrol. Its coming from every hole around the prop and some out of the exhust ports. <br /><br />I doubt its the gear oil as that was checked and came back as fine. The compression test on all cyl was 120+.<br /><br />The only thing i can think off is 2 stroke oil. perhaps i might have over done it with the oil?<br /><br />Any help would be most grateful<br /><br />Stuart<br /><br />*add* When it was running yesterday it was smoking more than normal *add*
