Default MARINER 40HP (1994) IGNITION PROBLEM

I AM TROUBLESHOOTING A STARTING PROBLEM WITH MY 40HP MARINER AND NEED HELP. I WILL POST AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE SO WE DON'T HAVE TOO MANY REPLIES BACK AND FORTH.SPEC: 1994 MARINER 4CYL. WITH 16 AMP BLACK STATOR AND COMMANDER 2000 SIDE MOUNT ELECTRIC REMOTE WITH WARNING HORN.PROBLEM: CRANKS BUT WON'T STARTI HAVE A SERVICE MANUAL AND HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALL THE INGNITION TROUBLESHOOTING. HERE ARE THE DETAILS:GAS IS GETTNG TO THE PLUGS.THE FOUR COILS ARE NOT SHOWING VOLTAGE WHEN I TURN KEY TO START. THE KILL SWITCH IS SHOWING VOLTAGE IN THE ON POSITION AND NO VOLTAGE IN THE OFF POSITION. IT APPEARS TO BE WORKING OK. THE STATOR LOW SPEED IS GOOD THE STATOR HIGH SPEED TEST IS HIGH. THE TRIGGER TEST IS GOOD. THE STATOR OHM TEST ON RED AND RED/WHITE IS 87, I THINK THIS IS HIGH. THE BLUE AND BLUE/WHITE TEST DID NOT REGISTER AN OHM READING. THE CONTINUITY TEST TO THE COMMANDER POWER CONNECTOR WAS GOOD FOR ALL TESTS. IT APPEARS TO BE A SWITCH BOX OR STATOR PROBLEM.NOW FOR A BIT OF IRONY, AFTER PERFORMING ALL THESE TESTS, TAKING ALL THE WIRES OFF THE SWITCH BOX AND REPLACING THEM AND OPENING UP THE COMMANDER AND CHECKING ALL WIRING, THE SON OF A GUN STARTED . I NOW HAD VOLTAGE TO THE COILS. IT STARTED THREE TIMES AND I TOOK IT OUT FOR A TEST RUN, IT RAN FINE.I LET IT SIT OVERNIGHT AND WENT TO START IT AND IT WOULD NOT START , SAME PROBLEM AS BEFORE, NO VOLTAGE TO COILS.ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ?????YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks, I will give it a try. One of the last thing I did before it last started was to check the continuity at the pins. I do recall a fair amount of grease on the pins. Maybe when I reconnected the pins, it allowed them to work for a short period of time. Next time up to the lake, I will spread the pins and remove some of the grease.I hope this works, like you I really do not want to throw money at the switch box or stator if I don't need to.Thanks for your help!!
