• I have had my boat in storage for three years. Anyway I am trying to get it ready to fish again. I replaced the Water Pump Impeller, When I tried to put the lower unit back on, I could not get the Shaft to line back up. Is there a simple way to achieve alignment when reinstall the lower unit? bruss4438@aol.com

Make sure you get the water tube lined up. I have seen many people get stuck there trying to restab it. Also sometimes you will have to turn the motor flywheel just a hair to let the driveshaft splines line up in the crank. If your water tube is NOT lined up, you will not get the driveshaft into the splines. I know it sounds crazy but you have to do a few to get the feel....
