i,m trying to replace my distributor on my 1970 65 horse merc serial#2807072.The only replacement one i can find is a 1968 model serial#2313283.<br />It looks slightly different and the cap is attached by 4 screws instead of a ring like on the old one.Also the disc is steeel rather than brass like the old one.Will it work?Do i need to change the coils etc?........
