How do you test the stator without a peak volt meter?

Can you mix switch boxes from different manufactures Sierra or Mercury?

Do the switch boxes need to be replaced in pairs to mantain the the bias resistance?

walleyechaser, yes, a scope will read the peak voltages, that's what they do best.
