Im just wondering if anybody can tell me what year my Mercury 7.5hp Outboard Motor is, or where i can find out. Ive actually got two of the same engine. Here are the serial numbers for the two engines. Thanks for all the help. 7096422 7037241Also if anybody knows the gas mix ratio for these engines could you please tell me that as well?

Can anybody please help me out here?? I need to know what year these engines are, and what fuel/oil mix ration i should use for them. Any help would be appreciated. Or if somebody knows a website or somewhere that i can cross reference the serial numbers myself to find out the year. Thanks in advance!

try 25:1 for now.. until someone can clarify that 50:1 is fine

They are Canadian ser nosMy best guess is the 709 is a 1977the 703 is about 1974The mix is 50:1 on all Mercs w/o oil injection http://www.goa-northcoastoil.com/tips/obmixing.html

Thanks for the help so far guys, i really appreciate it. I didnt realise there was a difference in canadian and american serial numbers but that would make sense. thanks again. And if anyone knows for sure what year these are that would be great! Thanks for the link as well.
