sometimes after warm up idle is rough and inconsistant, excessive smoke and very rough idle one time, good idle next time. any rpm over 1500 is fine all the time. plugs and wires are good, fuel is clean. what can my problem be?
Sounds like carb clean or rebuild. Sounds like problem when gas has set to long in carbs and varnish has set up in passageways. Float bowl etc. Take carbs off and apart. Soak in carb cleaner overnight. Note all settings before taking apart. ie: how many turns screw are set in etc. Take special care on float settings for these are cruical when putting back together. Remember, that any little obstruction in any of the passageways can cause a world of problems for you. Hope this helps.
