1985 90hp mercury fuel pump?

How is the best to check the fuel pump on this engine?

hey welcome to the club. What is happening to the motor right now? is it bogging and not topping off? or is it just plain sluggish.

first make sure all the gas lines are free and flowing. I usually do 2 things. one, if squeezing the bulb makes the motor run better. Then that is a usual sign that your fuel pump is bad. Another thing I do is hook up a 12v automotive gas pump to the gas line and turn it on. You can get this at autozone. hope this helps.
