I have posted on this ole Merc 25E before, now runs(idles well) scoots across the water but.......not fast enough, only 13 mph, now my Johnson 5.5 circa '56 as well scoots same boat 8.0 mph. I think this may be a timing issue, but not positive, I followed instrucxtions as to setting high speed setting under full power, but still, no increase in power\speed. one more thing at full throttle is runs 13 mph, backing off to 1/4 throttle it runs 11 mph.. hmm fresh gas, new plugs, new condensors..... any ideas?
