Default Quicksilver oil ok for Mercury?

Hi, is Quicksilver premimun two stroke oil approved for Mercurys? I just bough my first boat and I don't want to muck it up. (2000 Fisher Avenger Sport with 40HP Mercury 3 cylinder). Thanks for any info.

I buy it at West Marine for $18.00 a gallon. Is this a good price? How often should I need to refill the oil tank on a 40hp merc 3 cylinder? Thanks

Do you have an Academy Sports store nearby? They sell Quicksilver for $14 per gal [sometimes $12]. I've always thought West was over priced on most of their stuff. You can get better deals right here on iboats.

I can get it at Sam's Club for $12 or Walmart for $14. I think Gander Mountian had it cheap to.
