Default 175 MARINER LOSS OF POWER

DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE?HAVE PROBLEM GETTING UP ON STEP,WOULD HESITATE BEING FLOORED THEN TAKE OFF LIKE A ROCKET AFTER A MINUTE OR SO ,TACH ACTING FUNNY RUNNING THEN DROPPING OFF RPM THEN PICKING BACK UP, DID RESEARCH AND FOUND I HAD A FRIED REGULATOR CHANGED BOTH ,1 ST. TIME OUT RAN GOOD MISSED ONCE ACROSS LAKE ,BUT RAN FINE TOOK OUT TODAY RAN GOOD TO START , RUNNING (WOT)FOR A WAYS THEN MISED,SLOWED DOWN ,TOOK OFF AGAIN OK , STOPPED TO FISH NOT WANTING TO IDLE NOT WANTING TO GET OVER 1700 RPM ALL THE WAY HOME STOPED SEVERAL TIMES CLEANED PLUGS (NEW)CHECKED FUEL GETING GAS RUNS OK IN NEUTRAL EVEN REVING,TRIMED UP TILLPROP HALF OUT OF WATER PUT IN GEAR REVED TILLPROPWENT UNDER THEN DROPPED OFF RPM ANY IDEAS WHAT TO LOOK FOR THANKS( 175MARINER MAG EFI 1994)

Howdy, Country Boy.Go to www.outboardrepairs.com and look up power loss.Please do not post all capitals. It is hard to read and is considered shouting on the net.If you have no luck there, come back here and tell us what you did and what you found.Good luck.
