What would cause the voltage regulator to burn up? The regulator has a quarter size hole burned through the left hand side near the mounting bolt hole.
Crossing over the battery leads will do it, Dirty connections wont help. A faulty stator will also cause problems occasionally but most times the regulators just blow for no reason
