Default Mariner alarm

I have a 1988 Mariner. It is a 3 cylinder. I have been getting and alram on my throttle control. It did it one day when I was trimmed down and when I trimmed up it went off. Today while we were out I was having a problem with water in the gas and the entire time the alarm was going off. Could not get on plane until I worked the water out of the carbs and line. The motor was just worked on and they put a new head gasket on.. Supposedly for the same reason. I have a stream of water comming out like a garden hose. I can keep my hand in the stream of water. There is no way this water is over 120 degrees. This is a 60 hp Mariner 1988.I have one wire next to the top cylinder with an very small thin nut. I mean it is very very close to the top spark plug. They told me the impeller was replaced as was a new head gasket. Is there a certain temp the pee water should be to tell if it truekly is overheating?Help please.

You have a serial number, the manual I have does not show head gasket, only water jacket cover.

That little wire/nut is the temp sensor. You should be able to keep your hand on the cylinder block for about 3 seconds - if it's too hot to touch, than it has overheated. If not, disconnect the sensor wire and see if the alarm shuts off. Are you using the Autoblend oil injection? If so, your problem could be there also.
