Default how to remove the oil injection on a 90hp mariner?

I want to remove the oil injection on my 1989 90HP(i think serial number OC136657) mariner?) and run just pre-mix?Can i just disconnect the oil pip that goes to the fuel pump and cap it? Or is there more to this that that? I was thinking of routing the pipe from the pump back to the oil tank to it continue to circulate oil in a loop. Any thoughts suggestion or words of advice? Also what ratio should I run? The motor is on a 18 foot center console that is used for fishing and has separate trolling motor if that helps any. Thanks as always.. Dave

From a previous post:First, disconnect the oil line from the motor and securely cap the fitting - you don't want dirt, water or other contaminants getting in there and gumming up the operation at a later date. Next find the wire harness coming off the back of the pump and unplug the amphenol connector (black rubber, about 3/4" in diameter, about 2" long and 3 or 4 wires depending on age). Trace the 2 wires from the tank to where they connect at the motor, disconnect and remove the wires from under the hood. Tape off the wires remaining on the engine harness and then you can remove the oil tank from the boat. And lastly, remember to premix at 50:1 - you won't get a 2nd chance if you forget.
