Comes half way up the leg????If you mean the hose that runs to the outlet (p hole) the hose has a hole in it. ie replace or fix, if thats not it check for Blockage in the hole maybe a Bug died up there or something.Buy a Book you will need it in the future anyway.Good Luck

Has a steel pipe with a new seal that is a pressure fit against the pump. with no holes or blockages.

Thanks for your suggestion. but is not the problem. must be another problem. Maybe is the seal between water pump and steel pipe that goes up the leg to the motor.

Are you testing it on muffs or in the Water?

Kert,Yes, check the grommet at the top and see if it is hard and brittle. If so, replace it and try it again. If the tube is OK, then it can only be the seals or pump, which you already did.

Another thought, is that impeller "Keyed" on to the shaft? If so, is it there?

I put a new seal on top of the pump which joins the water pipe to the pump.

The water level in the tub must be above the water pump.

If you can blow compressed air up the delivery pipe you should feel some escape out of the "pee hole" If you cannot then I would suspect that you have potential blockage in the waterways. If the air does come out then the problem is with the pump. Bear in mind that the waterways are small in the block so a small amount of salt deposit in there especially near the pee hole exit will cause your problem. I am not familiar with the Mariner 6 but if it has a thermostat you could try removing that and see if you can get puff of compressed air out there to isolate just how far you have to go in. If you do it may be that the thermostat is jammed shut. Leave it out, reassemble the housing and give it a quick run up in the tub to prove.Only feeling in the dark.Andy
