Have I have a mercure 25 hp and I need to know if I can extend the shaft to make it longer for different size boat.And where I can get the parts to do it.

You need to purchase a new intermediate casting (leg..dunno what this part would cost), drive shaft for about $300.00 + bucks, water tube and shift linkage. You might try locating one of the outboard junkyards on the web and buy the parts. Best deal I could get you is 20% of list price from Mercury. A very expensive proposition. You might get the parts for about $150.00-$200.00 complete used. Then you need all the gsket kits.
