Hello,<br />I wonder if anyone could help me prop my boat. The prop that came on it does not have any stampings to determine the diameter and pitch of the prop. I have a terrible holeshot, but the top end seems pretty good. I have not had enough time at the wheel to know just what the top speed is, and speedometers are generally off, but it seems that I am in excess of 70 mph. I am not concerned with top speed so much as I am with being able to have a good holeshot, and the ability to pull a tube, or skier. I have no cavitation at all, and when trying to ease the boat onto the trailer, I can apply full throttle and the engine will bog down. I suspect that I am way overpropped. I think the jack-plate is what is allowing me to achieve a good top end without sacrificing rpm. BTW, the prop that is currently on this rig is a 4 blade polished stainless prop. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
