Mariner carb adjust

Guess I,ll try this again, must not be asking the right question so here goes. Just rebulit my carb on 1960 mariner 9.9 THANKS to you guys help, I sure apprecieate the answers. Now though I need to know how to start the motor with the cover off so I can adjust the idle?? Don't think I can remove cover with it running as it takes some wiggling with it not running. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Mariner??? They didnt start making them untill the late 70's What year is it?

OOPS!!! Just checked again , don"t know where I came up with "mariner" anyhow it says" Kiekhaefer 9.8 Twin" and the serial # Is 1637575. Any help is sure appreciated, thanks again
