I have a Quicksilver Laser II 24P 3 blade SS prop with a 115 Merc. It over-revs on planing out and I noticed that the prop has rectangular slots at the front of the prop for extra exhaust gas, I reckon. Do they have plugs for these holes and would it make a big difference?
Thanks
Wade

Re: Prop Question

Hi Wade,
Yes PN 19220A4
You can use 1,2,or 3 of them to control the controled cavatation. This will adjust the rate that the engine RPM rises. Idon't ever recall a engine overreving comming on plane with these props unless it is mounted real high on the transom. Have a transducer or spedo tube mounted to close to the engine
would also cause the problem.
Try em they are cheap.

------------------
...have fun...corm

cubic inches = power
power = speed
speed = FUN

Email me if you need to.
