I bought an '80s Mariner 30 hp (model 30M) and I changed the lower unit oil when I bought it. I took it for a run yesterday and it ran great but I noticed that oil was leaking from various holes on the shaft. So I drained the lower unit oil and A LOT of water came out.

What happened? Plugs were in tight. Bad Seal? Comments please thanks everyone.
-John
