Mariner outboard 28 HP - what year???

Hello,<br /><br />I am hoping that someone can help me figure out when an outboard engine that I have was made. It is a Mariner outbard, 28 HP. The model is 28E and the serial number is 664572374. Any help or suggestions of other places to look for this info will be appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks for your time,<br /><br />Eric

Eric,<br />Your Outboard Mariner 28E is produced in 1979. I have the same model but from 1976.<br />I found a modelguide about Mariner outboards in a marinservice garage here in Sweden.<br />*** luck(have you tried to serch for a manual somewere?)<br />Anders Thorgren, Stockholm, Sweden
