I notice that my 1992 9.9 Mariner has a cowling latch held by 2 rivets that is almost gone with rust. I have seen this problem on many Mercs that are close to salt. Is there a replacement for this latch? Maybe some aftermarket? The cowling is in fine shape - hard to believe they would manfacture such poor design.
