I have an older 7.5 Merc, recently the water stopped circulating round the leg. I assume the impeller must be shot. How do I go about changing this? Where is it located on the motor?
Hi David, Best bet would be to acquire a service manual for your motor. There are several out there (Seloc, Clymer, etc.) and for basic maintenance like impeller changes, they're all about equal. Relatiely inexpensive and worth the money. Any good marina or marine discount place ought to be able to order one for you, or through some of the online venues like iboats. - Scott
