470 Mercruiser inline resistor

Does anyone know where the inline resistor from the condenser on a 79 Mercruiser is or should be?.

From the condensor??? Some have one before the coil. And some use an internal resistor in the coil. Is that what your asking?

Not Sure, I read a old forum where a person was having a problem with his 470 (late 70's), mine's a 79. It was stalling and does the off and on starting thing. Another member told him to check the inline resistor of the condensor.<br />I just do not know where to find it?.
