76 evinrude water flow

Hi guys first time here. Just got 1976 evinrude 55hp. Motor rus great put new water pump thernostat and seal for presser valve. And don't get much water from relief holes. Can you guys tell me how much water i'm suppose to have coming out.I have seen some post that said that they have seen motors with very litte coming out and motor does not get hot.I can hold my hand on head while motor is runing and it never get's hot enogh to burn me. Thanks for help :)

Hey Din055<br /><br />Mostly the water will just "spit" out of the relief holes. It is not a steady stream. If it's not hot, I would not worry about it....

Thanks Rick it is really very little butt it is not getting hot so thanks again. is there any way to run a pee hole on this motor some thing i can see while I'm driving thanks for the help.

Hi there i looked at that pic i don't have that cap on my motor. Just wondering if the outer exshust cover has water in it when motor is running.And if i could put hole in that? I have 72 johnson 35hp and the pee hole is coming from that?
Tryed to ad pic but don't know how. I'll get this sooner or later. :cool:
