Need Out of date Mercury Part

I need Mercury Part # 48315A4 Which is the Plunger and link assembly for the choke solonoid on a 1966 Mercury 65 HP. I have the old plunger which has what resemble a piece of plastic tie strap coming out of the bottom of it. IF I cant find the part, I'm thiking of Marine-Texing a tie strap to the old piece and wrapping it around the likage, but I'm not sure the plunger will stay in the solonoid. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Dougthis, I think I have a couple of those chock plungers you need. I have a barn full of my old mercury motors and salvage. My "black anchor" pile is huge. I am heading up to my lakehouse after work today, so monday, I will email you my findings. I am sure I have at least one in pristine condition. You can have it for free(if I can get to you for free) when I find it. Talk back at you monday. I would email you sooner, but my lakehouse does not have a computer in it yet(I dont think I want one there).
