My 1989 40HP Oil-Injected Mariner runs as it should when in motion. When I stop and the motor idles for a few minutes it starts beeping and the oil low light comes on. It has plenty of oil in the reservoir. I was wondering if it has an air-hole (like the gas tank) that could be stopped up. The reason is that when I check the oil by taking the cap off it seems to stop beeping. What could be the problem?I greatly appreciate any and all responses! Thanks in advance!
Hi Russell, I had the same problem with my Johnson 150 the dealed told me I could do one of two things. disconnect the low oil warning or go for a new VRO tank I don't recall the price for the new unit but it was steep. so I just went for the disconnect. All the other warning work fine.Hope this helps -Tony
