Head gasket question?

I suspect my 115 has a blown head gasket. The way I came to this conclusion is outlined in another thread I posted titled (troubleshooting a poor running outboard). Anyway I was checking prices for a new gasket on Iboats.com and noticed for some models they offered both a head gasket and a low compression head gasket. What exactly is a low compression head gasket and is there any reason I should order the low compression gasket over the regular one?

A low compression head gasket is a thinner material gasket.Sorta like shaved heads.Slightly shortens the depth of the combustion chamber at top dead.I would just order the conventional one.

The low comp. gasket would have been for engines used in markets with low octane/poor quality fuel.

I think DJ has it right and I'm bassackwards on my first description.I believe the high compression head gasket is the thinner and the low compression one is thicker. My bad.
